Candace Bunyan

Candace Bunyan is a kindergarten teacher in the Spring Lake Park District. She is an alumna of the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. When she’s not teaching she enjoys traveling, cooking, dancing, and hanging out with family and friends. She is a social justice advocate and taught for St. Paul Freedom Schools for seven years.



Faith Cephus

Faith Cephus (she/her/hers) is a recent graduate of the M.Ed. Elementary Education Initial Licensure program at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. She completed her student teaching in June and plans to begin teaching in the fall. Outside of teaching, she really enjoys reading, playing the piano and drums, trying new foods and activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Warda Mohamed

Warda Mohamed (she/her/hers) is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota Early Childhood program. She will be completing her student teaching this June and officially begin teaching in the upcoming school year. She also loves reading, drawing, cooking, and spending time with family.



Xai Thao

Xai Thao (she/her/hers) is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota with an M.Ed. in Elementary Education. She plans to start teaching as a first-year teacher this fall 2022. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling to see nature! A few places that she has traveled to in regards to nature includes Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore, Devils Lake, and a few more.
