Collaborates with both 3000-level students and instructors to help students produce their best writing and to help them to overcome the difficulties of writing in a second language.

A comprehensive resource from the University Graduate School that offers help with writing and research, information on funding, and support for international students.

The Minnesota English Language Program (MELP)
Describes writing help and resources for ESL and Non-Native speakers. Provided by the College of Continuing Education.

Student support

Student English Language Support offers free, face-to-face English as a second language support to international undergraduate students. Sponsored by the Minnesota English Language program, SELS is designed for students who want to address a particular English language need to be more successful at the U of M.

Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE)
A campus-wide resource that promotes an inclusive atmosphere to foster and enrich multicultural understanding among all members of the University of Minnesota community, MCAE offers group and individual tutoring to all University of Minnesota students.  

SMART Learning Commons
Offers drop-in support for selected gateway courses in both individual and small group formats, as well as research and technology assistance at various locations on the East Bank, West Bank, and St. Paul campuses. Also sponsors special events such as academic success workshops and pre-exam review sessions.

Student Academic Success Services
Provides learning support services including courses, workshops, individual consultation & counseling, and study skills resources.

Career Services
The all-in-one guide to career resources at the University of Minnesota. Individual career services offices listed here also offer workshops and focused seminars, such as how to write a successful resume.

Student Conflict Resolution Center
SCRC helps students with campus-based complaints and concerns, including problems with University policies, as well as misunderstandings between students, instructors, and/or administrators.

Office for Community Standards
Serves as a resource for information on how to avoid plagiarism, as well as a centralized forum for resolution of reported cases of student scholastic dishonesty.

Student Mental Health
