2. Group Workshop Grade (15%) |
| A |
Group is helping members to substantially revise their papers on levels of organization and analysis by asking serious and thought-provoking questions. Does not rely on the instructor. Full and equal participation of all members. |

Group works well together but still has trouble working on in-depth critique and revision. May also have an unequal balance of participation. |
| B |
Group gets work done, but falls short in terms of serious critique and substantial revisions. Serious imbalance in terms of participation and leadership. Relies on instructor's prompts to work effectively. |

Group is having problems getting work done because of personality conflicts, not having work ready for class, lack of interest, etc. |

3. Individual Grade (15%) |
| A |
Outstanding in all aspects of participation: full attendance, full preparation of new and revised work, assignments completed on time, active participation in group and class discussions, insightful and constructive feedback in group, active engagement in class. |

Similar to A, but falls short in one of the above categories. |
| B |
Average fulfillment of individual responsibilities. Does work on time and participates adequately. |
| BC |
Attends class but doesn't participate very often. Written work sometimes late or incomplete. |

Your grade will fall below a BC for the following problems: not prepared for class, appears bored or detached from class discussion, fails to respect other members of the class, has problems with tardiness or attendance. |
