web resources for research in biology
Web resources designed specifically for scholarship can be invaluable; however, the majority of texts on the web contain inaccurate information. Although sites like Wikipedia are informative, most instructors (and readers of biology scholarship) consider them unreliable. Therefore, it is wise to avoid such sites for research and writing, instead selecting only credible scientific web resources such as those sponsored directly by a university, a government, or a library.
