choosing appropriate sources
Biologists use evidence to provide context for their own research and to support their arguments and claims. While sources of biological information can be found just about anywhere—on the web, in the newspaper, in popular magazines, and so on—biologists do not give equal weight to all types of sources. In general, writing in biology relies on sources from peer-reviewed journals and, less frequently, peer-reviewed websites.
