interdisciplinary studies of writing

Interdisciplinary Studies of Writing is the research program within the Center for Writing. ISW supports research into the ways in which writing can foster learning in and across the disciplines. Besides funding research that spans theory and practice, ISW creates connections throughout the University community by promoting discussion on the study and teaching of writing.

Interested in sharing your writing research with a wider audience?

Consider submitting a proposal to the 4th International Conference on Writing Research: Writing Across Borders II. The conference will be held February 17-20, 2011, at George Mason University; proposal deadline is May 3, 2010. Learn more at the conference's Call for Proposals.
