Read the New York Times Learning Network blog for Q and A with seven NYT journalists on why they write and to find out various ways of getting involved in the National Day on Writing.
Read U.S. Senate Resolution S.298 declaring October 20 as the National Day on Writing.
Go to the National Council of Teachers of English for the official National Day on Writing webpage. It includes tips for writers, info on celebrations taking place across the country, and recordings of authors discussing why they write.
